D23 Weekend Final

Well a couple of days has passed since D23 2009 ended and for my last wrap up I guess its time for the bad news about my Laughing Place a.k.a. Disneyland, for a purist like me anyway.Again it as happened in the past Pixar is nailing another nail in Tomorrowland's coffin with a attraction that has nothing to do with "tomorrow".I am referring to Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters(replaced Circle Vision) and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage(replaced the classic Submarine Voyage). They have even added Pixar characters in Small World(thats in Fantasyland, sacrilege!).
The next Pixar crap will be in the Magic Eye Theater and replace Honey I Shrunk the Kids(which replaced Captain EO),it will be a 3D "Monsters Inc" show and again NOTHING to to with the world of the future.Maybe I am not seeing this 'future' of ours made up with talking toys, talking fish, and performing monsters that corporate Disney is pushing.
It's "Tomorrowland" not Pixarland!
I know and understand The Park will always change,Walt said so himself but I don't think he was referring to the Land's themes.Watch and listen to Uncle Walt:

I had to get that out, thanks(LOL).I love that place and I hate to see it slowly dieing due to corporate greed and the lack of imagination. And that ends D23 2009.Who knows,if there is a D23 2010 maybe I will be there and make live reports.

I agree Disneyland is just a big commercial for their films and their films are a big marketing devcice for their toys. Look at Tom Sawyer Island it's a continuation of Pirtaes of the Carribean even that ride is changing into a trailer for the movies. Disney is corperate and has been for the past 30 years. Eisner actually saved Disney. In the 70's Disney was stagnate making nothing but garbage. How many remember the cat from outerspace, Super Dad or Hot Lead and COld Feet? He revamped Disney World brought in quality movioes with Touchstone and even brought back good animated features like Beauty and the Beast and Aladin but like all good things they must come to an end . Eisner's career jumped the shark after Katzenberg left to start Dreamworks. Also another sign was Disney starting an NHL franchisae, buying the Angels then the whole ABC catastropohy. Roy Disney got Eisner thrown out and Eiger took over. Now it seems all Disney cares about is their stock price. No more imagination it's lets make the mostest fastest. Then again it's the same everywhere look at how many movies are being remade, Halloween, Friday the Thirteenth, War of the Worlds, etc... They're even remaking Red Dawn believe it or not. I guess people no longer want to take chances with new ideas. Keep in mind Disney just bought Marvel Comics how long before California Adventure is turned into Superhero Adventure? Speaking of the Cat From Outerspace maybe they should theme Space Mountain after that. As for the People Mover comming back maybe writting a movie about it will bring it back after all DIsney is into making movies about their rides. Here are a few more Disney movie/ride ideas Matterhorn, Jungle Cruise, and Mike Fink Keel Boats.

I agree. In fact I heard Jungle Cruise is in pre-production,no joke. And that Marvel deal scares the hell out of me but fortunately Universal theme parks are still using Marvel characters and until they don't that means Spiderman and friends won't be added to the Disney parks.

Corporate greed is destroying everything that was good.
