Was the T a trainer, Joel? I think it was. Love the Corsair in the background. Maybe you can answer a question for me: I drive past Detroit Metro Airport on my way to class and I've noticed for the past several years, all or most of the commercial airliners now have the tips of the wings turned up. Do you know the reason for that? I'm guessing it's to improve airflow, lift and fuel efficiency but I'm not sure. Thanks!
where do you get your planes? I down loaded a F5 from Simviation and I got the plane minus sound and a instrument panel. Maybe you have to pay for your planes on FS insider to get the full package. I also down loaded an A4 and I got some crappy homebuilt. F5 A4 ? one might think I'm trying to recreate Top Gun on my FS actually I am 80's cheese you gotta love it.
Kathy: Yep,"T" for trainer. And your right about the "turned up wings".They are called "winglets" and the do improve fuel use so much that every airliner even older types are fitted or refitted with them. Its becoming more unusual to see a airliner without them!As well as private jets.
anonymous: Some downloded aircraft don't include panels and sounds or maybe they aren't installed correctly.I get my aircraft from several sources(mentioned below). There is a registration but its FREE and well worth it.I recommend: www.flightsim.com (simply the best in my opinion) www.avsim.com (another good one) And if you want a full "Top Gun" scenery package avsim has it at: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=119526 Hope this info helps.
Hey thanks for the tip. I cheched out Av sim and I already downloaded a cessna twin. I'm having second thoughts about the A4 because John McCain flew it. The F102 Delta Dagger is banned from my flight sim because George Bush flew it when he wasn't AWOL or coked out of his mind.
