Yesterday (Thursday the 18th of October,2007) a big dream came true.Vulcan To The Sky (http://www.tvoc.co.uk/) left the ground.This is the first and only Vulcan (a british Cold War bomber) flying and is also owned and operated by private individuals,a BIG warbird!
It amazes me how military aircraft that where state-of-the-art when I was a kid are now flown by private individuals for fun.A-4 Skyhawks,MiG-21s,a F-4 Phantom,and now a Avro Vulcan.I wonder if theres a chance when the F-117 Stealth Fighter is retired from service next year if we'll see one flying from our private airport for fun in the future.
