For the last week I have been fortunate to hear the sounds of twin radial engines.I am hoping the Douglas B-26K Invader that arrived last Thursday (and is taking off as I write this) is now based here.Almost every day for a couple of hours the sleek warbird is directly out my window taking off and landing.I love round engines! Those two thousand horsepower R2800 engines (the same used in Hellcats,Corsairs,BlackWidows,and the China Doll) are one of the most beautiful sounds to my ears.
"Please Mr Invader pilot,don't leave here! And don't stop flying please!"
