Orange County Register:
Liquor-license application notices last week went up at Disneyland’s Main Gate and on Harbor Boulevard. But that doesn’t mean visitors can soon guzzle a beer or sip a martini at any old time in Disneyland, which long has banned booze during regular hours. Instead, Disney is just applying for a license that will allow it to serve liquor at special events - movie premieres, private parties, conferences, etc., said Rob Doughty, a Disneyland spokesman. Previously, Disney served liquor under a caterling license during these events.
So, nothing will change if Disney gets this new license. The exclusive, private Club 33 in Disneyland can continue to serve alcohol to its members, but that’s it. If casual visitors want to drink, they’ll have to head over to Disney’s California Adventure or Downtown Disney.
